Privacy Policy
What data this site does and does not collect, written plainly.
Summary
This site is a static reference and calculator tool. It does not ask you to create an account, and the calculators do not send the values you enter anywhere. Everything you type is processed by JavaScript already running in your browser and is discarded when you close or reload the page.
Calculator Inputs
Every calculation on this site happens locally in your browser. When you enter a voltage, a resistance or an appliance wattage, that value is read by code on the page, used to produce the result you see, and never transmitted to us or to any third party. We do not log, store or analyse calculator inputs, because they never leave your device in the first place.
Nothing you enter is written to your browser's local storage or to cookies by our calculator code. Reloading the page clears the fields completely.
Information Collected Automatically
Like almost every website, the server that delivers these pages may record standard technical request information in its logs. That typically includes the IP address making the request, the page requested, the time of the request, the referring page and the browser user-agent string. This data is generated by the hosting infrastructure rather than by the site itself, and it is used for security, troubleshooting and understanding aggregate traffic levels.
If you are the operator of this site, review your host's own privacy and log-retention documentation and describe it accurately here, since the specifics depend on the hosting provider you use.
Cookies
The site's own code does not set cookies, and it does not use browser storage to track you between visits. If you later add analytics, advertising or embedded third-party content, those services will set their own cookies and this section must be updated to describe them, along with any consent mechanism your jurisdiction requires.
Third-party Services
The site loads no external fonts, script libraries, content delivery networks, analytics or advertising. All stylesheets, scripts, icons and images are served from this domain. That means no third party receives a request simply because you loaded a page here.
Outbound links to other websites are the exception. Following one takes you to a site governed by its own privacy practices, over which we have no control.
Email Correspondence
If you email us, we receive your address, your message and anything you attach. We use that information only to respond and to investigate any problem you report. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share contact details.
Children
This site is an educational and technical reference intended for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and it has no registration, profile or messaging features through which such information could be submitted.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data held about you, and to object to that processing. Because this site holds no accounts and no calculator data, the only personal information we are likely to hold is email correspondence you have sent us. Requests concerning that can be sent to the privacy address on our contact page.
Security
Pages are served over an encrypted connection where the hosting configuration supports it. No perfectly secure system exists, but the risk here is unusually low simply because there is no user data to protect: no accounts, no databases and no stored calculator inputs.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes, such as the introduction of analytics or advertising, will be described rather than quietly folded in. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated policy.
Back to the Wheel
Solve for voltage, current, resistance or power from any two known values.
