Questions, corrections and error reports are all welcome. Here is how to reach us and what to include.
How to Reach Us
The quickest way to reach us is by email. We read everything that arrives, and we prioritise corrections to formulas, constants and worked examples above everything else.
General Enquiries
For questions about the site, its calculators or its content.
Report an Error
For a wrong result, a broken tool or a mistake in an explanation.
Replace the placeholder domain in these addresses with your own before publishing the site.
Reporting a Calculation Problem
If a calculator gives a result you believe is wrong, the following details let us reproduce the problem immediately instead of guessing at it:
- Which calculator you were using, and the address of the page.
- Every value you entered, including the unit selected for each one.
- The result you saw and the result you expected, with your working if you have it.
- Your browser and version, and whether you were on a phone, tablet or desktop.
A screenshot of the filled-in calculator alongside its results panel usually captures all of this at once.
What We Can and Cannot Help With
We are glad to explain how a formula on this site works, clarify what a calculator assumes, or correct an error in our content.
We cannot review, approve or sign off electrical designs, advise on specific installations, interpret how an electrical code applies to your situation, or provide any form of professional engineering or electrical consultancy. Those require someone qualified who can inspect the actual work, and no exchange of email can substitute for that.
Never contact us instead of getting help with an urgent electrical problem. If something is sparking, smoking, overheating or has caused a shock, disconnect the supply if it is safe to do so and contact a qualified electrician or your local emergency services immediately.
Response Times
This is a small operation, so replies typically take a few working days. Clear, reproducible bug reports are usually answered fastest, because they need the least back and forth. If your message needs a reply and you have not heard from us within two weeks, it is worth sending it again in case it went astray.
We do not accept guest posts, paid link placements or sponsored content, and messages offering them will not receive a response.
Back to the Wheel
Solve for voltage, current, resistance or power from any two known values.
